Our hourly studio sessions include a skilled engineer to handle recording, editing, and a high-quality rough mix within your scheduled time. The engineers at Solar Sound Studio are fast and experienced, often making your rough mix sound nearly finished if time allows. Note that full mixing and mastering are separate services from recording; for a complete, professional mix, you can book a dedicated mix session. If you’d like to focus more on mixing during your recording time, consider booking a longer session to achieve your vision.
High-quality mixing is essential to crafting a great record, ensuring each element shines in its proper place. At Solar Sound Studio, we provide professional mixing services on a per-song basis, typically completed within 2–5 days, depending on our current workload. Mixing sessions are usually unattended, but we can accommodate attended sessions upon request. We welcome projects recorded elsewhere—just supply the Pro Tools session data or exported stems from your preferred DAW. Mix sessions can be booked with Vance here.
Mastering is the final step in achieving a polished, radio-ready track once your project has been recorded and mixed to the highest standard. At Solar Sound Studio, we use Pro Tools HD to master your final mix for optimal quality. Please provide a 24-bit, uncompressed 2-track file with no plug-ins (such as compressors or limiters) on the master fader. Mastering is done on a per-song basis as an unattended session, with a typical turnaround of 1–3 days. Mastering sessions can be booked with Vance here.
